Before you go out and start marketing yourself make sure you have the right marketing materials in hand you never know who you would meet that day. One of the easy things to have handy is a business cards which all designers should have. Stickers can also be great marking material to give, the key is for this person to place this sticker somewhere they would see it again. Bookmarks also give a place for your business to be seen, almost every day if this person is a big read. Likewise, other options like brochures, flyers, corporate booklets and print catalog are also good for all designers trying to have a strong brand presentation.
Online Marketing

There is millions of designers marketing themselves what makes you standout? This is a question that you would find hard to answer if asked, but it’s not. Your and designer and you know what makes you one of a kind. Use this for your online marketing campaign, List some of the best things about yourself.
For Example: Your turnaround time if really fast. Your good with other software’s. Your outstanding with keeping close contact with your client. and etc….
Building a Friendship

We all know at the end it’s all business, but building a friendship is one of the best marketing you can do. Helps keep this client for life and also opens the door for new business, because we all know word of mouth is one of the best ways to market yourself. One of the way I build a friendship is to really get to know my client business and understand what he/she is looking for. Only because the project had finish doesn’t mean that you shouldn’t keep in contact to see from time to time if your client needs something new.
Build Your Online Presents

Don’ t only stick to your own website, but try creating accounts on other design related websites. This help you reach a bigger market and helps find new clients and great for networking with other designers or developers. Online forms and just design blog like this one can help showcase some of the talent you have. Doing creative work for fun is a good idea because it help build your portfolio and your online presents.
