Some nice ideas presented here. What’s particularly noticable is the fact that the designs all have unique and different characteristics, somewhat reflective of the many different and unique restuarants the designs represent. A great example of graphic design in action!

What are the criteria for determining that these are the “best” and who makes that decision?

These logos all look great, but I always wonder with these types of posts how many of these are real world logos and how many are concepts for fictional companies.

My favorite there is Gastro. It looks plain and simple but very eye-catching. Sometimes, the simplest design is the best. I guess they paid really good money for artists to cook up their logos. :0) I’ve tried some of these restaurants and their logo is as good as the food they serve.

Sorry, but some of these are simply terrible. Totally lacking the personality and aesthetic to provide a comfortable and appealing brand.

You guys are totally too critical. It’s supposed to be inspiring. Take something from it if you can and move on. Great post! Thanks for tossing those out there.
