There are a lot of new designers out there without a website, but the internet has made it easy for you to display your work without having to buy a domain name. I’m 100% for making my own website, but then again i did go to web design school.
This is a selection of online community’s that lets you display your creative work and also, lets you network with other designers.
Coroflot is the largest, most established, most diverse pool of professional creative portfolios in the world.
DeviantART aims to provide a place for any artist, both emerging and professional talents, to exhibit and discuss works of art. With over 12 million registered members and 100 million submissions, deviantART is the world’s largest art community.
Creative thinkers – the people with the most ideas – often struggle the most with organization and productivity. We aim to change that. So we design products & services that organize the creative world.

design:related™ is a community site and inspiration tool that brings together creative people from different disciplines (and parts) of the design world. design:related™ serves to motivate designers to share ideas, inspire, and be inspired.
Society6 is where artists promote each others’ work, and collaborate with brands to create and sell collectible art.
Flickr – almost certainly the best online photo management and sharing application in the world
We built Carbonmade because we needed something that would organize our own work. It turned out so well that we decided to share it with all of you. In February 2006, we began spending our off hours tinkering with Carbonmade and within a year we began working full-time and haven’t looked back since. With feedback from our ever-growing community and lots of nerdy elbow grease, it has become something that we are quite proud of.
SHOWN’D aims to provide users with a centralized hub to maintain a portfolio and secure employment. Our powerful tools and clean design makes sure to keep the focus on the artist and their vision. Employers benefit from the vast array of creative professionals and artwork displayed on the web site as well as the tools provided for sorting through the various showcases.
Artists from the entire creative spectrum, from architects to writers, make SHOWN’D their home.
A showcase for artist’s portfolio websites with an emphasis on individuals, rather than agencies and studios. There is a great range of style here, from digital design to traditional art.
Quickly organize your work in our beautiful template. Designed for creatives with impossibly high standards, and built to the specification of creative recruiters at companies that already use Krop to find talent.
Our platform let creative people publish and aggregate their personal stuff from other websites. Computerlove is stillin beta. We do not accept more members for the moment !

Deviant art is the best I think. Really good artists and so many different examples of it. I do like this site: http://plewto.com it has some good art from whoever makes it, and then there is another site I found that has great art from this woman, but I think her site is down now. She had some REALLY great sci-fi art she did in Photoshop. I am seeing if I have the wrong site or not, but I keep searching for her work.
