Gotta give a shoutout to my Alma Mater, the University of Central Florida. Their Digital Media program is amazing, and the FIEA program is even more awesome. Seems like not too many people know about it. It’s a public institution, so I think most people disregard it as a decent place to get a degree in such a specific subject.
Also, Savannah College of Art and Design is another really good school.

Another school not mentioned is a great little design school in Seattle, SVC: The School of Visual Concepts. Totally helped me. You could do tons worse than starting out there.

Oh and the cost of classes are very good, plus networking with students and teachers just about pays for any classes.

A number of these are in the “proprietary/for-profit” segment of the education industry. Not that that necessarily is bad, but really buyer beware. Perhaps even more so than for any high-priced education!

Awesome list! I wish I still had the time and money to go back to school. After graduating I’ve learned so much and it’s fueled my fire to learn more about design and web programming. If I ever do decide to go back I’ll be checking this list again, but for now I’ll keep my nose in books and online tutorials.
Thanks Julio for putting this together
